Swap and Tell Link Up #3: Shop Owners Trading Products and Posting Reviews

Welcome to Swap & Tell #3!
A link up for shop owners trading products and posting reviews!

swap&tellTBA

This link up is all about helping one another get exposure for our products and services. We all know that advertising can be very expensive, so my co-hosts and I are so very happy to be offering a way to get your name out there to new audiences for the cost of a trade, while helping fellow shop owners in the process. Speaking of co-hosts, I am pleased to be joined by Donna at Distressed Donna Down Home and Heather at Woods of Bell Trees . These lovely ladies each have unique and fun blogs and personalities, each with a growing following. Be sure to pay them a visit! Your link will show on all three blogs simultaneously, meaning more opportunities!

And we will soon announce the addition of our 4th co-host!

If you are just now finding out about Swap & Tell, you can read more about it here.

And now, on to the swap, but first, please read the rules:

*This link up is a SWAP so please ONLY link up posts that contain a picture of an item you would like to swap and have fun shopping around! Links that are not for swap will be removed to preserve the authenticity of the link up.

*Link up a post from your blog, Etsy, Facebook, Pinterest or Instagram that contains a picture and description of your swap item, using a permalink to your specific post not your general URL from your chosen source.

*Look around at the other links until you spy something that interests you. Visit as many as you like and when you find something you’d like to swap for, leave the other person a comment with a link to your posted item.

*Once you have committed to a swap, please edit your post with a note that your item is already swapped so you won’t continue to get offers.

*Exchange address info with your swap partner. Each person will pay shipping for the item she/he is sending.

*Please be prepared to ship your product no later than one week from the time the swap ends. (The timetable for services will be worked out between those swapping.)

*Product reviews should be posted no later than two weeks from the time the swap ends. (The review timetable for services will be worked out between those swapping.)

*The review should contain a photo of the product received; your own scoop on the product; and a link back to the product, shop or person (their choosing). (The review for services may or may not include a photo, details to be worked out between those swapping.)

*Please include the Swap & Tell button or text link back to your host in your linked post.

*Please Note: We have modified the link up to now allow participants to link directly from their Etsy shops!

* Please follow your host, Tarnished Royalty with one of the following methods:

And finally, have fun and remember, it’s all about promoting and helping one another. The value of the swap is in more than the products received, but in the exposure you will receive from reviews. A swap means a review for your product too!

Scene Stealing Emerald Green

Fall is just around the corner and that means a fresh color palette for dressing and decorating. Trends will be changing but one thing is for sure ~ there will be lots of rich color!

Today I would like to present you with a piece of jewelry I designed in the beautiful shade of emerald green.

These pictures were shot during the winter, but can you just picture the necklace with the rich rusts of fall? Or even eggplant or teal? Then it can easily transition into holiday party attire.

This necklace is what I’m offering at Swap & Tell this week. Drawer hardware embellished with a vintage brooch piece with emerald green stones and pearls. Antique gold finish chain is approx. 16 inches.

Yep, this plus other fabulous offerings from my co-hosts and participants can be yours in exchange for your product or service at Swap & Tell!

Please excuse my scowl!

The linky party goes live tonight at 7 PM central.

I hope you’ll come back and link up!

Old Church Bench and a New Pillow

Happy new week! I hope you all had a great weekend! Mine was both productive and relaxing. It got started off on the right track Friday afternoon when I received a package in the mail. Woohoo! It was from Suzan at Hazelnut Deux.

If you’ve been reading my blog long, you may have heard me talk about a new link up called
Swap & Tell. It’s for shop owners to trade products and then post reviews about the product.

Well, today I’m super excited to share my first product review! At our first Swap & Tell, I had the good fortune of swapping with Suzan. I sent her a pair of earrings and she sent me this beautiful burlap pillow cover.

I couldn’t wait to receive it and I knew right away where I would put it. I have an old church bench in the hall at the bottom of the staircase. The hall is one of the areas in our old house that has not been remodeled yet.

The plaster walls and ceiling are in disrepair, with a few chunks missing and the floors and banister have been partially stripped and then put on hold, due to so many other projects going on. For many years I didn’t even attempt to decorate the area, I preferred to ignore it and focus my energy elsewhere. But lateley I have been working with what I have and trying to beautify it as is. I really rather like the end result.

And the pillow from Hazelnut Deux adds so much! The quality is superb! My pictures really aren’t doing it justice. I really love it and I am quite sure I’ll be visiting Suzan’s Etsy shop HazelnutDeux to peruse and pick up more!

If I were you, I would high tail it over there and check it out too!

And I hope you’ll come back Wednesday and link up at Swap & Tell!

And also! We’re looking for a 4th co-host! Tina of What We Keep had to drop out due to being over extended (miss you, Tina). So we decided to put a co-host spot up for grabs! Interested in co-hosting our brand new link up? Read more about our co-host opportunity.

And now, on to the swap, but first, please read the rules:

Logo or Button Design Up for Swap!

Hey readers and friends! I love to do graphic design, so today I would like to share my passion with someone out there who needs a new look! I have yet to put together a page for my services, but two of my specialties are logos and buttons.

Yep, that’s what I’m offering at Swap & Tell this week.
Your very own button or logo design in exchange for whatever your specialty is!
