This post is all about what I would like to swap this week at Drop It or Swap It. If you have been meaning to join in the new link up but haven’t yet, I encourage you to jump in this week! You can read more about how it works here.
Up for swap is this cute vintage beaded handbag.
The white color makes it a good summertime choice.
It’s a little bit of a fixer though. The clasp closes but it’s not a really tight hold. I think it might have to do with the hinges on the sides of the bag, not sure though. I think you could just add some velcro inside to ensure it stays closed.
Okay so if you have something you want to swap for this vintage handbag, leave me a comment! The swap starts tonight at 7PM central and runs through Monday night at 9 PM. See you at the swap!
Welcome to Drop It or Swap It, the weekly linky party where you can link up with a picture of something old or new, vintage or modern, thrifted or retail. Something that you loved at one time but have dropped from your favorites. It can be clothing, accessories, craft supplies, books, small home decor items, ANYTHING really that you don’t mind mailing. It can have its own dedicated post or be tagged onto the end of another post.
As a blogger you get all the benefits of a link up PLUS the added perk of new stuff, while purging your own stash. And it’s not just for bloggers, non-bloggers can participate as well! The more that participate the more fun we’ll have, so please share with your friends!
Last week Donna of Distressed Donna Down Home swapped her absolutely gorgeous silver plate cake server with me! for a cute old seed sower bag. Donna has some good stuff I tell ya, you’re missing out on the fun if you haven’t linked up yet!
This is week six of the link up and we’re still building momentum so I welcome any feedback. I know it will take time to catch on and I hope you’ll give it a try! Link up a post that contains a picture of the item you would like to swap and have fun shopping around!
Now let’s start the swap! Please read the guidelines and ask any questions in the comments.
* Look around at the other links until you spy something that interests you. Visit
as many as you like and when you find something you’d like to swap for, leave
the other blogger a comment with a link to your posted item.
* Leave as many swap offers as you like with different bloggers, but please
be courteous and only leave one comment each. If you don’t get a response
just assume the other blogger is not interested or has already swapped.
Okay ladies (and gents?) this post is all about what I would like to swap this week at Drop It or Swap It. If you have been meaning to join in the new link up but haven’t yet, I encourage you to jump in this week! You can read more about how it works here.
Up for swap is a set of two heart pillows, sewn from an old tattered red chenille bedspread.
The below pic shows the other sides.
The larger pillow is 10″ x 8″ and the smaller pillow is 6″ x 4″. Why would I want to get rid of these little cuties you may wonder. Well, I have made and sold several of them, and still have half a bedspread left to make myself some if I decide to. The pictures show the red to be a little more vibrant, and in reality I think they’re a bit more of a faded red, like you see in the above photo, on the right side of the small heart. So if you have something you want to swap for these pillows, leave me a comment! so sorry, they have been swapped!

Last week Donna of Distressed Donna Down Home swapped her assortment of postcards and old photos for a pair of super sweet cherry and apple kitchen towels with Tina of What We Keep.
This is week five of the swap and we’re still building momentum so I welcome any feedback. I know it will take time to catch on and I hope you’ll give it a try! Link up a post that contains a picture of the item you would like to swap and have fun shopping around!

Hey there! I’m back again with another item that I would like to swap at the next Drop It or Swap It, starting tonight at 7 PM and running through Monday night at 9 PM.
This old seed sower bag, stained and shabby, can be perfectly repurposed as a flower display or door arrangement. I’ve tucked some faux roses inside that I will include if desired. Or add your own touch with garden tools, ribbon, or whatever you can dream up.HAS BEEN SWAPPED!
Also swapping
the necklace and bracelet group again this week (in a separate post, here.) Just leave me a comment if you link up with an item you’d like to swap! For more info on how Drop It or Swap It works, read this. See you at the swap!
There’s still PLENTY of time to get in on this week’s Drop It or Swap It link up, it runs through Monday night. So I decided to add one more thing that I want to swap. I have been purging my jewelry and am working up to putting a new, organized system of storage and display in my closet area. So here are 2 necklaces and 2 bracelets that should belong to someone else.
The multi-strand multi-color beads are plastic. The bracelets are stone chips and are the stretch type. Leave me a comment if you are interested in swapping! Come on ladies! As my new friend and fellow swapper Tina @ What We Keep said, I want to play!
