Bracelets In The Studio: Junk Jubilee Jingles Preview

Hey, hey! Here in the Midwest we are having the most beautiful fall weather. Temps in the 70s and the trees are turning gorgeous shades of gold, orange and red. I am most inspired creatively in the fall and it’s a good thing because I have lots of creating to get done. As I have mentioned before, I am preparing to sell my jewelry at a great market coming up in November. Junk Jubilee Jingles is held at the state fairgrounds in Des Moines, Iowa Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, November 14, 15 and 16, 2014. So every week between now and then (only 3 weeks left!) I want to show you sneak peeks of some of the designs I will have for sale.

This week’s preview features bracelets.

These are brand new designs using my favorite thing to design with ~ antique and vintage hardware. I recently began incorporating leather into many of my designs and I really like the richness it adds.

I also love to use vintage buckles and buttons in my jewelry, like this deco buckle and glass button. Mixing them with the chunky silver chain gives them an updated and more modern look.

I have more than 100 bracelets that I will be bringing to sell, each with it’s own one-of-a-kind design. If you live anywhere near Des Moines, I hope you make plans to attend the show. It’s worth a few hours drive for sure, and you can get a bunch of Christmas shopping done early!

Next time I’ll show you some of my newest earring designs. Thanks for dropping by!

  1. Hi Ann,
I think everyone of these is your best work. They are unique, and balanced with perfect patina and color. I really like the hardware with leather. I just checked to see if I could come to Des Moines from Illinois. I would like to meet you and buy something, but Mapquest says it is six hours away. I was hoping it was more like three hours away and it could be a day trip. Love what you are doing, Ann. It is GOOD.

  2. These are just fabulous….Love the hardware with the soft wear (leather)… You are incredibly talented with a great eye for beauty…Wish I was close enough to see your things in person…Maybe someday we will end up at the same place or show. Have a great week…

    1. You are so sweet Brooke. I wish you were closer too! You never know, we could end up doing the same show some day ~ wouldn’t that be fun!
