As the countdown continues, I am wrapping up all the earring designs I will have with me to sell at Junk Jubilee Jingles. The event will be held at the state fairgrounds in Des Moines, Iowa Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, November 14, 15 and 16, 2014. Last week I showed you some bracelets, just a small sampling of the over 100 bracelet designs I will have for sale.
This week’s preview features earrings.
These designs are all brand new and will be making their debut at the show, along with close to 100 other earring designs.
For this patriotic pair, I cut out and embellished vintage military stars.
I love to come up with new ways to use old lace.
I’ve made several of these hand cut leather crosses, in lots of colors and styles.
I have close to 100 pairs of earrings that I will be bringing to sell, each with its own one-of-a-kind design. If you live anywhere near Des Moines, I hope you make plans to attend the show. It’s worth a few hours drive for sure, and you can get a bunch of Christmas shopping done early!
Next up: Brand new necklace designs. Thanks for dropping by!
Welcome to Swap & Tell #12! A link up for shop owners trading products and posting reviews!
This link up is all about helping one another get exposure for our products and services.
Word of mouth advertising = traffic = sales!
We all know that advertising can be very expensive, so my co-host and I are so very happy to be offering shop owners a way to get your name out there to new audiences for the cost of a trade, while helping fellow shop owners in the process. And now if you have a blog or Facebook, but no product to swap, you can link up to receive products and post reviews.
Speaking of co-hosts, I am pleased to be joined by Heather at Woods of Bell Trees . Heather has a unique and fun blog and personality, with a growing following. Be sure to pay her a visit! Your link will show on both blogs simultaneously, meaning more opportunities!
If you are just now finding out about Swap & Tell, you can read more about it here.

Hey, hey! Here in the Midwest we are having the most beautiful fall weather. Temps in the 70s and the trees are turning gorgeous shades of gold, orange and red. I am most inspired creatively in the fall and it’s a good thing because I have lots of creating to get done. As I have mentioned before, I am preparing to sell my jewelry at a great market coming up in November. Junk Jubilee Jingles is held at the state fairgrounds in Des Moines, Iowa Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, November 14, 15 and 16, 2014. So every week between now and then (only 3 weeks left!) I want to show you sneak peeks of some of the designs I will have for sale.
This week’s preview features bracelets.
These are brand new designs using my favorite thing to design with ~ antique and vintage hardware. I recently began incorporating leather into many of my designs and I really like the richness it adds.
I also love to use vintage buckles and buttons in my jewelry, like this deco buckle and glass button. Mixing them with the chunky silver chain gives them an updated and more modern look.
I have more than 100 bracelets that I will be bringing to sell, each with it’s own one-of-a-kind design. If you live anywhere near Des Moines, I hope you make plans to attend the show. It’s worth a few hours drive for sure, and you can get a bunch of Christmas shopping done early!
Next time I’ll show you some of my newest earring designs. Thanks for dropping by!

I didn’t get to swap last week (darn!) so instead of showcasing what I received in a swap, I decided to show you some goods from one of my favorite Etsy shops. Susan of Must Love Junk is one of my favorite bloggers as well, and her shop is stocked with items that have her signature style.
This unique wire basket is so Susan! I love her clean, no frill style that still manages to be soft and inviting. How does she do it?
This soup tureen is a great find. Transferware, you are near and dear to my heart.
And now, on to the swap! And remember, Swap & Tell has been revamped to be more inclusive! Now if you have a blog or Facebook, but no product to swap, you can link up to receive products and post reviews.
Yep, you read that right! Free products for you in exchange for a review!

I don’t know about you, but I’ve been seeing a lot of these guys around lately.
I don’t like spiders, never have. They, along with all bugs, creep me out. But I do find their webs fascinating. The one I captured above was between the storm window and inside window in my living room. I don’t know if it’s true, but I’ve heard it said that spiders take their webs down in the morning and rebuild them all over again at night. A few days ago I walked out my back door to find a giant spider web in two corners of the porch, flanking the steps. They reminded me of the architectural corner pieces that were in Victorian homes. Yes, spider webs are intricately beautiful to me. Last fall I was inspired by a spider web to create a web and spider from cheesecloth and pearls.
