Swap and Tell #5 Link Up + Tree of Life Review

Welcome to Swap & Tell #5!
A link up for shop owners trading products and posting reviews!

This link up is all about helping one another get exposure for our products and services. We all know that advertising can be very expensive, so my co-hosts and I are so very happy to be offering a way to get your name out there to new audiences for the cost of a trade, while helping fellow shop owners in the process.

If you are just now finding out about Swap & Tell, you can read more about it here.

I have already been so fortunate to become acquainted with new products and people through Swap & Tell that I otherwise wouldn’t have known about. Before we get to the link up, I would like to tell you about one such shop owner that I got to swap products with two weeks ago. Dan is a fellow jewelry designer who specializes in Celtic knot work. His shop D & O Celtic Jewelry is stocked with crosses and other beautiful designs. The history and symbolism represented by each of his designs is fascinating.

Here I am wearing the Tree of Life necklace that I received.

According to D & O Celtic Jewelry, the Tree of Life, an ancient symbol from mythology, religion, and science, is referenced in dozens of different cultures all over the world. The Tree of Life design I am wearing has the tree contained within a circle. It symbolizes death and rebirth, and how all life is related. Simply beautiful!

Some of his other designs I heart:
Fatherhood-Bronze-2-197x197 Claddagh-Necklace-197x197
The Celtic Internal Cross Knot Necklace, sometimes called the Fatherhood knot. I love how the cross is on the inside of it in the negative space.

And the Claddagh necklace, which, according to D & O dates back to the 17th Century in Ireland. It is named after the fishing village of Claddagh, which was just outside Galway, Ireland. The Claddagh symbol contains hands holding a heart which is adorned with a crown in most versions. It is said the hands represent friendship, the heart represents love, and the crown represents loyalty. You can see more D & O Celtic Jewelry designs and read their very interesting story here.

And now, on to the swap!
