Welcome to another edition of Girls Want Pearls! This is #38 in a series of 52 posts on the wonderful pearl ~ ways to repurpose it, wear it, and decorate with it.
Spring has finally sprung and flowers are popping up everywhere! Yay! For today’s project I raided by button stash and grabbed some pearls, wire, and twigs from the yard to create…
To create the daisy I simply threaded the wire through the back of the button and, using one long continuous strand of wire, threaded pearls on and looped each petal, twisting together in the back before creating the next loop. Then I attached the flower to the twig with wire.
You can glue on lace or burlap leaves to complete the look.
And here’s a peek at what I’ll be swapping at my new link up Drop It or Swap It over the next 3 weeks…
Drop It or Swap It goes live Tuesday night at 7 PM, and you can read more about it here.

Love me some pearls! Thanks for sharing. Hugs and blessings, Cindy
Pearls and petals – what a lovely thing. I think I will try these.
I can’t wait to try this idea with all the loose pearls I’ve collected. I can see a whole bouquet for winter display. Wonderful.
What gauge wire & size pearls did you use? I hope to make a few to take to the next meeting of our local arts & crafts group to see if the group would want to make these in a future meeting. Also think these will be used for my mother’s 80th birthday in August, thanks for the wonderful ideas on using pearls.
Hello Laura! I used 24 gauge wire and 4mm pearls, but I think anything close to that would work just fine. I love both of your ideas for using these! Early congratulations to your mother on 80 years!
Hi Ann, thank you for the information & well wishes for mom. Both are much appreciated.
Love, love this Ann! You have been so creative with your pearl posts. I am drooling over those chenille heart pillows. Hoping to do a post in the morning and show a swap item. Thanks for sharing with SYC.
hugs,
Jann
Thank you Jann! I would love to have you at the swap, that would be wonderful!
Lovely idea!! I have an old thrift store necklace that broke and I couldn’t bear to throw the pears away. I’m making these!
