I found this vintage dress in December while shopping with a friend at the West Bottoms in KC. It was one of those glorious moments where you catch a glimpse of something and it has a glow emanating from it (it seems). A corner of vintage dresses and this one called out to me, so I tried it on, skeptical that it would fit. Well, I was wrong and it fit perfectly! How happy was I!
A bargain at only $20, so even though I wasn’t really shopping for myself that day, I had to snag it. Don’t you agree?
I added a red belt and red boots to give it an updated punch. I was freezing in these pictures, can you tell?

The weekend before last our family celebrated my birthday and went to a dinner theater. Here are some shots of us having fun!
The play was called Never Too Late and featured George Wendt from Cheers. It was fun to see him in person! And I never pass up a chance to spend time with family.
Talk soon,
Ann

What a great find! Can you imagine the cost of a dress of that quality today? Great pictures of you, too!

You’re right, considering the quality today’s price would be many times that! Thanks for stopping by!
What a great dress, I love the larger houndstooth pattern. The touches of red really pop with it.
How cool that we both have an Aubrey? :)
Oh my Ann, love this dress! I am crazy for houndstooth and you look too darn cute. What a fantastic price too. Love the pop of red and you have such a cute shape!
hugs,
Jann

Cute Outfit Ann. Love the pictures of you and your family. Happy belated birthday.
Kris
There’s no question, the dress is chic. You wear it well, as opposed to the other way around! And nary a sign of the ‘shivers’ – how is that even possible?
Happy belated birthday, dear Annie!
